Overview
In this short-term UX Designer role, I was brought in to support the completion of mobile and web products ahead of a pressing Q4 deadline. The scope of work was clearly defined with measurable objectives, focusing on rapid prototyping of pre-existing designs to ensure usability and functionality within a tight timeline. Additionally, I was tasked with designing a new responsive web interface for two key product pages, aligning with the brand’s visual language while enhancing cross-device consistency. The complexity of this project deadlines demanded my continuous collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and delivery.
Prototyping
I was tasked with prototyping previously completed UIs to present to company stakeholders, requiring me to first understand the existing user flow and design logic. By analyzing the prior designer’s work, I ensured the prototypes accurately reflected the intended interactions and overall user experience. The final prototypes provided stakeholders with a clear, interactive representation of the product, facilitating meaningful feedback and alignment.
Research
Develop interactive prototypes and high-fidelity mockups to facilitate user testing, enabling the collection of valuable feedback on products in the design phase. These visuals will simulate real-world interactions, allowing users to engage with key features and provide insights on usability and overall experience. The feedback gathered will inform iterative improvements, ensuring the product aligns with user needs and expectations.
New Interface for Existing Products
I was tasked with designing two new user interface for B2C product page focused on highlighting a specific item. I began by developing a series of wireframes to explore layout options and user flows, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs. After refining the designs through iterative feedback, I finalized and delivered the high-fidelity UI, ready for development.
Challenges
The urgency of tight deadlines and time constraints, combined with the absence of an established design system, caused deliverables to be delayed beyond my initial expectations. This added complexity to the process, extending timelines while still aiming to meet the project’s critical deadlines that were met in the end.
