Overview

I was contracted by Wells Fargo to recreate their design system, transitioning it from Invision to Figma to streamline the team’s workflow. As part of this project, I was tasked with updating designs for data tables and UI headers, ensuring they aligned with modern design standards. During the project, I pivoted my focus from UX design to graphic design, exploring various design iterations for their B2B mobile application. Additionally, I developed a comprehensive design kit in Figma for the entire design team to utilize, promoting consistent brand appearance across all platforms.

Rebuild Design System

The unexpected pivot during the logo designs, left me without direction. I again reached out to management asking where was design help needed, again to show my value in UX. I was directed to work with another lead to focus on rebuilding components within the kit for brand consistency. I was presented with conquering the ADA compliance challenges for many of the items while building the brands buttons, forms, and and items to be reused repeatedly throughout all of Wells Fargo.

Challenges

After joining a newly implemented CX department, I faced the challenge of working against tight deadlines while adapting to evolving team dynamics. The fast-paced environment pushed me to quickly absorb new processes and expectations, allowing me to sharpen my problem-solving skills. These challenges created opportunities to push beyond my usual limits, delivering above expectations to ensure the team’s success. By maintaining clear communication and staying agile, I contributed to building a cohesive team that thrived despite the pressures, ultimately enabling us to meet key objectives and strengthen our overall impact.
